I have been an exercise specialist for the past 8 years dedicated to helping people meet their goals. My passion for fitness began as an athlete in high school into college. After getting my degree my experience has ranged from training individuals ages 5-85 years old to coaching sports teams and big group classes. When I began Crossfit I immediately fell in love with everything the sport encompassed, it’s truly become my medicine and hopefully I can inspire you to have it become yours as well!

After several years of watching my dad and listening to him brag about CrossFit, I gave it a try in 2018 and never looked back. I immediately fell in love with the gains, the intricate technical skills, and community it brought with it. I’m obsessed with the mental aspect of the sport and love breaking down workouts trying to find the most efficient way to pace and complete them. I especially enjoy CrossFit style gymnastics and helping others develop the ability to hit some cool party tricks. Who doesn’t want to flash the ability to walk on their hands? I am level 1 certified and have a passion for showing others why CrossFit can change their life just like it changed mine.

Though my prior experience in sport was swimming for 15 years, I have been a NASM personal trainer for 5 years and a level 1 CrossFit coach for 2 years! I have spent endless hours pursuing the competitive side of CrossFit and have learnt an incredible amount of knowledge that I’m excited to bring to the table here at CFD! I enjoy every facet of CrossFit but am most drawn to the gymnastics and engine aspect of the sport. I care deeply about cultivating a fun and strong community through hard work.

I joined CrossFit in 2017 to spend more time with a close relative through fitness. Concentrated but strenuous movement has always been a high priority in my life given my corporate nine-to-five and my two highly active boys at home. I no longer had the luxury of hours and hours in the gym, it had to be concise and effective. What started out as a simple way to connect turned into something much bigger. I discovered quickly that the box wasn’t just a place to put in some headphones and move weights around. It was a place where if you embraced it, you learned and you got better. People from all over, with different backgrounds, different life experiences, all coming together with a shared enthusiasm for fitness and getting better. I learned so much from my early coaches and from other members, from double-unders to crypto currency… although I know much more about double-unders. My absolute favorite thing about CrossFit is how a single group of wildly variable abilities can come together, and through proper (and safe) modification complete a work-out together

From the moment I walked into Crossfit Danbury 12 years ago I knew this community was special. As a collegiate softball athlete I immediately fell in love with the competitive atmosphere. Obviously I knew this was the place to become physically stronger, what I did not realize was the significance of the mental strength component. As you challenge your body you in turn challenge your mind. As a high school teacher of 20 plus years coaching for me was a natural progression. As a coach and teacher my passion is to help others become their best. Our health is the driving force in our lives. I have been coaching at CFD for 11 years and everytime I step into the gym I hope to help members reach their goals!

Hello everyone, my name is Joe and many of you might recognize me from various local restaurants where I’ve worked or other Crossfit gyms. I have always had a passion for all forms of fitness since I started lifting for football my freshman year of high school. I played football and lacrosse in college and have done various strength related competitions since. I am a level 1 CrossFit Trainer and have been coaching for about 2 years. I love seeing and helping members reach and exceed any goals or limitations they believe they have.
